Rose Sciaudone

Switching high schools is not something many people would like to do; especially not for their senior year. Rose Sciaudone is a senior at Wakefield High School, despite it being her first year here.

“Wakefield is probably ten times the size of my old school – last year there were only 45 people in my junior class.”

Switching schools comes with many challenges, such as feeling uncomfortable or unfamiliar with the way the school works. The stresses of being a new student added on to the stresses of senior year, such as college applications and college recruiting for sports, can become extremely overwhelming. Despite this, Sciaudone finds ways to get excited about the school year.

“My favorite thing about Wakefield so far is being able to participate in the orchestra,” Sciaudone said. “I am also super excited for the start of swim season.”
