After a rough start to life, two husky puppies have finally found their forever home. The 6-month-old pups were discovered last month after being thrown over a fence at the Jackson County Animal Shelter in Mississippi. Instead of weighing between 25 to 30 pounds, which is the expected weight for their age group, the huskies weighed only 8 and 11 pounds, respectively, as well as suffering from head injuries, which caused concern for their wellbeing.

The shelter released surveillance footage of a pickup truck that dropped the puppies over the fence and noted that, while the investigation is still ongoing, they have identified the person who abandoned the puppies. The brother-sister duo have since been taken into foster care, gained weight, are healthy and finally found a loving home. The puppies quickly garnered better health due to proper care from the shelter and will now live together in safe hands.

The shelter revealed that, before they were found,  the puppies suffered from neglect, malnutrition and parasites. The shelter also found that these huskies were part of a litter of eight puppies, with the other six still unaccounted for. The team at the Jackson County Animal Shelter is still seeking information regarding the whereabouts of the other littermates. However, they are delighted to have reunited these two lovely huskies and are excited to see them lead prosperous and happy lives.  From this point, the puppies can finally enjoy a healthy and happy existence.
