A new source of fun and entertainment has arrived. Launch Family Entertainment opened its first location in Raleigh on March 13 and is already bringing in positive reviews from the community. Launch is made of airtrack basketball, mini golf, dodgeball, VR, a ninja course, an arcade, a mega trampoline zone and much more. Whether one is showing up for a quick bounce or a full day of excitement, Launch is the new place to be.
Despite the fact that this is the Raleigh area’s first Launch location, the franchise is certainly not new. In 2012, the first site was built in Rhode Island, and ever since then, Launch has expanded to several other states. Silas Goldenblatt, a longtime Launch attendee of the Framingham, Mass. location, speaks his mind on the love he carries for Launch.
“The reason I keep coming back is that it’s just so awesome,” Goldenblatt said, “There are so many things to do there [so] I don’t get bored, and I have had, and will continue to have the best times of my life just feeling free there.”
Launch can serve as a source of amusement and enjoyment to individuals, but it can also serve as a useful tool to blow off steam. For Omar Sheikh, it can sometimes be hard to release his steam without a proper way to do so. Therefore, he goes to Launch for both fun, and to help let out his energy. With Launch, Skeikh can successfully break free by swinging on the trapeze, bouncing on the trampolines and simply being able to successfully use the space to help him feel at ease.
“When I go to Launch, I feel a lot better after,” Skeikh said. “After I get out my energy on the trampolines and I run, I feel calmer.”
Launch is an amazing resource, whether used as a tool or as a great time, but it is always great to look into the behind-the-scenes so one can know what really makes the magic ignite. Stephenie Mayor, an Admin at Launch, speaks on the work she and the rest of the staff team put in so that all can enjoy their experiences smoothly and safely.
“We perform safety checks twice daily on all equipment and attractions,” Mayor said. “It is ensured that anyone’s trip to Launch will not result in any accidents, only a good time.”
As most of Launch’s activities are predominantly physical, there are also further attractions that do not require an up and ready body. Many different crowds gather within Launch, all attending for their own divergent activities.
“We have a 10,000 square foot arcade,” Mayor said. “The arcade games range from skeeball to full-on virtual reality simulations.“ We also have an entire area dedicated to snacking, where we serve pizza, wings, salad and much more from Krave Restaurant.”
In conclusion, Launch Family Entertainment provides a reliable source of entertainment year-round. For the people of Raleigh, having Launch open in the area is a big deal due to the lack of fun-parks nearby. Prices are fair, starting at just $11.99 and going up to $29.99 for hours of jump time! Whether one is hanging out with friends, attending a party, or simply going for some classic fun, attendees report lowered stress and improved well-being. Those who have attended encourage members of the community to visit Launch because of its attractions suited for all ages and welcoming environment.
“Launch is my favorite place to be at,” Skeikh says, “It helps me through hard times and gives me lots of happiness.”
