Reflection by Fifth Harmony

The all-female pop group, Fifth Harmony, recently released an album titled Reflection. This fourteen song compilation features Kid Ink, Tyga, and Meghan Trainor. Each song is upbeat and catchy, with lyrics that could be sung along to easily. Some stand out songs are “Sledgehammer”, “Them Girls Be Like”, “Reflection”, “We Know”, and “Brave Honest Beautiful”.

“Sledgehammer” has been on the Top 40 charts for a few weeks now, for good reason. This song is the very definition of pop music, providing catchy and relatable lyrics. “Them Girls Be Like” isn’t as popular but it’s equally as memorable and upbeat. “Reflection” wasn’t as good as I expected it to be, being the album title and all. However, it’s still a fun song, but it’s not one of the better ones on the album. The chorus feels too fast for the beat but the bridge is perfect for the tune. “We Know”, on the other hand, is one of the slower songs in the set and fits their voices beautifully. It’s especially unique in this album because all of the other songs are faster paced, and it stands out in a really good way. The wrap up to the album is “Brave Honest Beautiful”, featuring Meghan Trainor. Keeping with Trainor’s usual songs, the lyrics push body positivity and is the perfect self esteem booster.

Overall, Fifth Harmony really did a good job with this album, there isn’t one bad song on here. They manage to keep their pop style while still being unique. If you want something to blast from your car stereo and sing along with friends, Reflection is for you.
