Cinnamon Sugar Donuts with Cream Cheese Filling

Ingredients:
- 2.25 cups of warm water
- 1/4 cup and 3 tbsp of brown sugar
- 1.5 tbsp active dry yeast
- 5 cups of all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp of salt
- 2 packages of cream cheese (or more if you need it)
- One Egg
- tbsp of Butter
- Cinnamon
- Sugar
Directions:
Part 1 – Start by making your yeast mixture
- 2.25 cups of warm water
- 3tbsp of brown sugar
- 1.5 tbsp of brown sugar
Mix lightly and set to the side for 10 minutes
Part 2 – Make your dough
- 5 cups of all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp of salt
Add the yeast mixture in last and knead the dough for 10 minutes (or until dough forms)
Part 3 – Creating the donut balls
- Add the dough to a floured surface and create mini dough balls
Let them rest for 10 minutes
Part 4 – Rolling your cream cheese
- Take the cream cheese and cut them to size to fit inside of the donuts
- Stuff the cream cheese into the dough
Make sure to pinch them tightly so they don’t open as you boil them
Let them rest for another 30 minutes
Part 5 – Boiling your donuts
- Boil the donuts in a pot of water (I used 4 cups) and 1/4 cup of brown sugar
- Boil them for 30 seconds on each side
- Add them to a prepared baking dish
- Brush them with egg wash
- Bake at 400 degrees Fahrenheit
- Take them out and brush them with melted butter
- Coat them in a cinnamon-sugar mix
