Starbucks has been known to bring in popularity, due to its seasonal items during the holiday season. Every year, in November, Starbucks releases its holiday menu to add to the festivities. Options available include both food and drink products. This year, the menu is stacked with delicious items such as the Peppermint Mocha, the Sugar Cookie Latte and the Sugar Plum Cheese Danish. A lot of people look forward to getting their hands on this year’s items.

I had never tried the holiday menu at Starbucks before, so I was very excited to try some of the items I had heard so much about. During my visit, I tried the Iced Sugar Cookie Latte with Sugar Cookie Cold Foam, the Iced Caramel Brulée Latte, the Cinnamon Pull-Apart bread and the Polar Bear Cake Pop. Luckily, someone was with me to give me a second opinion on these items. It was not the entire menu, but it did give us a gist of what it had to offer.

The Sugar Cookie Latte includes blonde espresso, sugar cookie flavored syrup, milk of choice and is topped with red and green sprinkles. I decided to get it iced and with sugar cookie cold foam on top. The coffee part of the drink was excellent; it was not too sweet or too strong. I could definitely taste the sugar cookie flavor in both the drink and the cold foam. I will say, the cold foam felt a little too sweet to my liking, but it was an excellent drink for the holiday season.

In the Caramel Brulée Latte, you can taste espresso, a choice of milk, caramel brulée sauce, whipped cream and pieces of caramel brulée on top. I liked this drink better than the Sugar Cookie Latte because it tasted lighter and sweeter. This drink was perfect for the holidays, thanks to the caramel’s sweetness and the milk’s delicateness.

The Cinnamon Pull-Apart bread brought back the warm feeling of having a freshly baked cinnamon roll straight from the oven. The powerful taste of cinnamon truly adds to the seasonal joy. Cinnamon has been a big part of making holiday treats for many years, so it is very important to sprinkle a little cinnamon into the holiday menu.

Finally, I tried the Polar Bear Cake Pop, and the ingredients include vanilla cake mixed in buttercream that is dipped into white chocolate. It was absolutely delicious, and it reminded me of the times that I would get a Cake Pop from Starbucks when I was younger. Even a classic cake pop can truly add to the festive season.

I overall enjoyed all of the items that I selected from the Starbucks Holiday menu, and I hope to try more soon. Out of all of the items I tried, I enjoyed the Caramel Brulée the most.  It was a pure joy to see the variety in items that the menu had in store going from a Cranberry Bliss Bar to the Gingerbread Chai. I cannot wait to see how much this menu evolves over the years into something magical for every customer.
