It is an interesting coincidence the timing of events and news coverage… But given that Britney was almost driven to madness via extreme surveillance/stalking by paparazzi (as can be seen on hundreds of hours of recorded paparazzi footage across the internet archive…). And then locked up and forced to perform on/off lithium for the next 13 years… I think it’s more likely Spears was unknowingly used as a distraction.
