The Incredibles 2
One of the most anticipated movies of 2018 was Incredibles 2. The first movie was released in 2004 and was a major success. People who enjoyed the movie wanted a part two, but were doubtful of there being another one. However in 2014, Disney announced that Incredibles 2 was going to be released in the summer of 2018. After 14 years, Incredibles 2 came out in theaters.
The public was excited about the movie because it catered to not only children but to the older teens and young adults who were born when Incredibles first came out. The movie was seen by many people the first weekend in North America and reached $180 million in ticket sales. The hype on social media revealed that the people weren’t disappointed. The movie managed to preserve the original theme of the first and create a new, relevant storyline. In contrast from the original, Bob, the father of the Incredibles, and Elastigirl, mother of the Incredibles, switched roles. Bob watched over the children, while Elastigirl worked her superpowers within the world. There were villains that the family had to defeat, just like any other superhero movie. This time around, the children were able to have a role and use their superpowers to save the world from the villains. Also, Jack Jack revealed his multiple powers to the family. Of course, Frozone and Edena returned and maintained their roles from the first movie. Overall, Incredibles 2 was action-packed and interesting for all age groups and backgrounds to watch. Rotten Tomatoes rated the movie a 94 percent. The movie was well worth the wait.
World Record Egg
The famous “World Record Egg” broke Kylie Jenner’s record for the most-liked photo on Instagram. Twitter reveals that it was the most retweeted tweet on the platform. On January 4th, a stock photo image was posted on a mysterious account with the handle of @world_record_egg. The account was set on dethroning Kylie’s most popular photo of her newborn baby daughter.
Mr. Godfrey is a 29-year-old publicizing imaginative who works at The & Partnership in London. The two companions he has to assist him with the record have now conveyed their subsequent demonstration. In it, the egg shares a tale about how becoming famous online has influenced its emotional well-being.
Why did Godfrey choose an egg? He states that, “An egg has no gender, race or religion. An egg is an egg, it’s universal.” People have fallen in love with the egg as it continues to spread positive messages.
The world record egg has even sold merchandise, such as T-Shirts, and donated 10 percent of the proceeds to three charities: YoungMinds, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, and the Campaign Against Living Miserably.
The anonymous account for the Egg Gang posted: “This is madness. What a time to be alive. Thank you so much for all of your support and messages.
