The biggest lessons I have learned throughout high school are to always maintain a diligent work ethic, patience for the future, and a focus on what you want to do after high school. High school is a vital stepping stone in life and it is a time when people evolve into who they will be later in life. Personally, I never believed people when they told me that I would change and my relationships with people would come and go and show who are true friends, but every single one of those claims is true. I have lost and gained friends which I never saw coming, and I have had to shed traits that held me back from being successful both in and out of the classroom.

When I look back on the past four years I am overwhelmed with the amount of knowledge I now have that I did not realize in the moment that I was absorbing, and I am grateful for all of the amazing teachers and mentors I have had here at Wakefield. Some of my teachers have been like family to me and I know I could tell them anything, and I know I can always feel comfortable asking questions because I know I will gain knowledge I hadn’t had otherwise.

I have so much I want to accomplish in the future, and I can comfortably say that I feel ready to take on those challenges in college and medical school thanks to these past four years at Wakefield. The two years that have prepared me the most are junior and senior year, I truly had to learn the how to manage your school work, social life, and college preparation. I will reminisce on my memories and experience here as all underclassmen should and I embrace the start of the next chapter in life which I could not have done without my high school experiences.
