The 60th Super Bowl took place on Feb. 8 this year, with the Seahawks and the Patriots up against each other. In this year’s halftime show, Bad Bunny performed an empowering and captivating performance of inclusion and diversity. He raised awareness to how the other surrounding areas outside of the United States are a part of America as well, bringing hope for the future of America in his inspiring presentation.

Turning Point USA filmed their own version of a halftime show that denied any involvement with the Bad Bunny performance. It was described by people opposed to the idea of Bad Bunny performing as completely inappropriate to “American” values. Many viewers were so reluctant of the halftime show that they turned to watch TPUSA’s All-American halftime show instead, which included Kid Rock, Brantley Gilbert and Gabby Berret as a part of the performance.

The majority of Americans who tuned into Bad Bunny’s performance were amazed at the unity of people from various parts of the country. The performance was both exciting and elevating, as it included a lot of up-tempo flair. In the show, Bad Bunny included hits from “DtMF” to “Titi Me Pregunta.” A powerful part of the performance occurred at the end of the show, when performers began running across the field with flags of those surrounding areas. This captivated the audience’s minds and hearts with a sense of connection and the realization that we are all equal.

To some, the Bad Bunny halftime show was seen as “stupid” and unfitting of American values, but it was so much more than that; it brought awareness to the fact that people in the other surrounding countries are American too. At the end of the performance, a message was cast onto the screen that said, “The only thing more powerful than hate is love.” This is significant because it demonstrates the extent of equality’s power towards making America a better place. The idea of having an “All-American” halftime show was complete lunacy because if it were All-American, it would have included every single area outside of the United States that is a part of the continent of America — which is exactly what the Bad Bunny halftime performance accomplished.

The 2026 Halftime Show possessed a love for our country, despite receiving hate for what Turning Point USA calls “unfitting” of American standards. It is so important, especially in today’s world, to include everyone with love, even if they are different from you. It’s heartbreaking that individuals are unable to unite and call each other equal. People in Puerto Rico, Colombia, Peru, Mexico, Canada and more are just as American as people in the United States are.
