“Into the Woods” 2022 Broadway Cast Recording

Stephen Sondheim’s 1987 classic Broadway musical, “Into the Woods,” was back in Broadway’s lights this year and it had an amazing cast of actors. The brilliant cast consisted of well-known actors Sara Bareilles, Phillipa Soo and Joshua Henry. The album came out on Sept. 30, 2022, and was a huge hit as soon as it hit streaming platforms. 

The show was first put on on June 28, 2022, and was originally set for an 8-week run. As time went on, the show became more popular, with tickets selling out every night. When I went to New York City over the summer, I tried to get tickets for this amazing show, but they were crazy expensive and were close to impossible to get. So with the growing demand for more performances, the “Into the Woods” production extended the run through Jan. 8, 2023.

The “Into the Woods” Cast Recording has amazing vocals by actors that I love and look up to a lot. The way that this revival is portrayed is incredible and I was in awe when I first listened to it. It was the same as the original but at the same time, it felt so different and unique.

With the phenomenal vocals in this adaptation of the classic musical, I believe this deserves the crown of the best album of 2022.
