The silk headscarf fashion trend takes over in the year of 2021.

Silk head scarves

A fashion trend that has been around for a while is styling silk head scarves with just about any outfit that comes to mind. It’s an accessory that comes and goes; history has seen people wearing some sort of head scarf across a variety of different cultures around the globe. But as of summer to winter 2021, it’s clear that it has returned to make a statement. The most incredible thing about silk scarves is that they can go with any type of style, whether that be streetwear, artsy, vintage, sporty, trendy, etc. They come in a diverse range of colors, patterns and sizes that makes it easy to find one to match almost every piece of clothing. Also, it can be worn with formal and casual outfits to enhance it further, or to simply conceal a hair day that is not looking the way you prefer.

A whole TikTok trend was devoted to these silk scarves, and it’s no wonder why. There are so many ways to wear one such as, tied around your hair as a headband, tied around half of your hair like a bandana cap, and wrapped around your braid, bun or ponytail. I am constantly learning new methods of tying these onto my hair as a headband and bandana through social media. Another delightful thing about these silk head scarves is that silk is very beneficial for your hair as it helps to prevent breakage, tangles, frizz and it keeps hair very hydrated throughout the day. Wearing these scarves on your head is not the only way to go about this style; celebrities like Victoria Beckham and Bella Hadid have been seen wearing them as bracelets, necklaces, belts and even tops. This has remained a staple accessory because they are as imaginative and flexible as you want them to be. All in all, silk scarves were the best fashion trend of 2021 due to the various ways to wear them.
