Igor by Tyler, the Creator

I think that Igor deserves the best album of the year because this album has something special to the pacing. For me, there is no moment where I get bored or feel like I want something to speed up and finish. By the end of listening to the album, you are surprised it’s over. The whole time you are listening to it hooks the listener in for its entirety and doesn’t let go until the end. The whole album feels like a metaphor for the stages of a breakup, keeping you constantly thinking about the other person until you are ready to move on. By that moment, the album ends and Tyler is ready to move on. I’m not entirely sure if the last bit was intentional by Tyler but to me, it feels like it was. That’s just one thing I really enjoy about this record.

The love the cinematic nature of this album, and the complete story it tells, I feel like this album would complement any movie the soundtrack, to a movie with a similar topic or theme.
