Highlighters
The makeup trend that has blown 2017 out of the water is extreme highlighting. There are many variations of highlighter, one being more subtle with an ethereal glow and the other being an electric glow offering an intense look overall. The latter of the two options became exponentially popular from the beginning of the year to now and will most likely continue to be a preferred look.
There is something captivating about an extreme highlight, and the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighters have become a cult favorite over the past few years and even more so this year with the introduction of new shades. Of course, Opal has been an all-time favorite, but the introduction of Prosecco Pop and several other limited edition shades have brought variation to the range that is very appealing to customers.
Any makeup junkie would also know that Anastasia Beverly Hills has a wide range of highlighter palettes that offer the ultimate amount of glow with an acute color range per palette. The different palettes are called glow kits but each has a very unique color range within it, for example, the Sun Dipped Glow Kit(very warm toned) has a completely opposite color composition than the Moonchild Glow Kit(very cool toned with several eccentric colors). The blinding highlighter trend has become extremely hyped up this past year and is chosen over a matte look for the vast majority of the time. There is something very appealing and satisfying about applying highlighter and knowing that one’s makeup is glowing and looking perfect.
