Top Gun: Maverick

If you’re looking for an action-packed movie that will leave you on the edge of your seat, then “Top Gun: Maverick” is your perfect answer. “Top Gun: Maverick” is the sequel to “Top Gun” which featured actors such as Tom Cruise, Jennifer Connelly, Val Kilmer, Miles Teller and many others. This movie has won many awards from the National Board of Review, it was listed as one of the 2022 American Film Institute awards movies of the year and was named the best movie of 2022 by the National Board of Review, which I could not agree with more.

A quick little summary of this movie is Pete “Maverick” Mitchell – Tom Cruise – gets asked to help teach the top fighter jet pilots in the world how to fly and fight in order to be the best and most successful. This elite branch of the Navy is called “Top Gun”, which Maverick was part of years prior.

When it comes to sequels, I think the first one is better most of the time. Although in this case, I think that “Top Gun: Maverick” is better than the original. However, one thing I do advise if you are wanting to watch this film is that you watch the original before. Watching the original before the sequel will help you get a gist of what the movie will be about, and allows you to understand some references that the actors make during the movie. All in all, if you are looking for a fun-filled movie full of action, drama and adventure then I highly recommend you to watch “Top Gun: Maverick”.
