In the mix of individuals who watch the annual Super Bowl specifically for the commercials, there are also those who tune in just for the halftime show. If this is you, you are sure to be pleased with the performances this year.

On Sunday, Feb. 3 of 2019, the Los Angeles Rams and the New England Patriots will dominate the field at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia at the annual NFL Super Bowl. Halfway through the game, artist Maroon 5 and guest stars Travis Scott and Big Boi are going to set the stage.

The band Maroon 5 has had all-time top hits throughout the 2000s. Many of their songs like Misery, Love Somebody, Animals, Payphone, One More Night and She Will Be Loved are all-time hits that will be listened to by this generation for a long time. The band gets an average of 36,410,109 monthly listeners, and 5,775,452 followers on Spotify alone.

Guest star Travis Scott has become a popular rapper in the past two years. His past album ASTROWORLD became a huge hit when it was released on Aug. 3, 2018. The album features his song SICKO MODE, which became number two on the iTunes Chart Performance for almost a whole week.

Scott received three Grammy nominations, two of them being Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance. The Super Bowl halftime show is going to be impressive with this rapper on the stage.

The NFL’s other guest singer Antwan Andre Patton, or more known by his stage name Big Boi, also has an impressive record within his career. Big Boi is a newly popular artist. His single, All Night, from 2017 made top 30 on Billboard’s pop hits.

Big Boi is not only a singer but a songwriter and actor as well. The artist has received a total of seven Grammy awards, with one of them making him the first hip-hop artist to receive Best Album of the Year.

As if their appearances weren’t enough, there is also a chance that Maroon 5 will feature Christina Aguilera as a surprise guest star.

The incorporation of pop from Maroon 5 and rap from Big Boi and Travis Scott in this year’s Super Bowl halftime show is sure to make it one of the best in history. The new form of music that these artists have created is the entertainment that the NFL looks for to keep the game exciting, as well as when it’s not playing.
