Horizontal stripes, sweaters, long-sleeve crop tops
It’s funny to think about trends from the past coming back into popularity. Everybody loves autumn for its earth tones and cool weather, but reflecting this feeling into clothing can be difficult. More noticeably, the trend seems to cumulate into baggy shirts and horizontal stripes. The latter I feel is another archive of the 90s, but it fits 2018 with shorter shirts and clingy fabrics. Another cold weather favorite is sweaters. A complimenting feature to top off an outfit, sweaters and cardigans are a good way to stay warm and stay fashionable. On the other side of cozy is crop tops. Most are now more suited for cold weather with their long sleeves. Admittedly this won’t keep you warm, but the style is one of the best of 2018.
The color of 2018 is mustard yellow. It brings together the seasonal changes and brightens up any outfit. The color is most complimented by jeans or jean shorts, making it a good match for any type of weather. If you’d like to put down the warmer tones for cold weather, this dim yellow is a good choice. The color is showcased with sweaters now rather than the t-shirts of the summer, so you don’t have to worry about being forced to wear crop tops.
Though we reached the conclusion of 2018, the trend is carrying over to early 2019. Maybe these will be the next crocs. Only time will tell!
