Dylan Mulvaney

With the year coming to an end, there have been some great people and content creators of 2022, and one person that has truly been the best is Dylan Mulvaney. Dylan is an actress and a trans woman and is best known for her TikTok series, “Days of Girlhood.” Dylan is an amazing content creator who has grown a following of over 9 million people by sharing her transition and things she experiences in her life.

She has been a huge inspiration to people by embracing everything that makes her special and unique, while also showing people in the LGBTQ+ community that they are loved and accepted for who they are. As she continues to just be her true self on the internet, she has faced some hate for her transition.

In October, Dylan received backlash from a fellow trans person, Caitlyn Jenner. Jenner misgendered Dylan in a tweet and immediately Dylan’s followers ran to her side to call out Jenner for the harsh words. When Dylan responded to the comment on her TikTok, she did so in a calm manner that was more informative than hateful.

With this response and all the other negative comments she has addressed during her time being an influencer, she has taken an educational approach to address hate comments. Her main goal on her page is to educate people and to make people feel loved and supported. Throughout this year, that is exactly what she’s done, even when it’s hard.

Also in October of this year, Dylan went to the White House to discuss trans rights with President Joe Biden. When she went, she posted a number of clips of her time there on her TikTok to document for all her followers. The whole time while she was talking to him and asking him questions, and she gave so much hope to viewers with the questions she was asking.  She also inspired her followers by showing that she made it to the White House and that if she can do it, so can we.

With her immense love for her followers and desire to make a change, she has truly been an inspiration to everyone this year and deserves the title of the best person of 2022.
