What are you most proud of when considering this artwork?

I am most proud of the use of colors and how bright the painting is.

Where do you find inspiration as an artist?

For this painting, I took inspiration from Van Gogh.

When did you begin drawing? What made you begin?

I have been drawing ever since I was a child. I didn’t start for any particular reason, I just thought it was fun to do. I’ve continued because I find it to be an escape from reality, and it is very therapeutic for me.

What’s your favorite piece of art made by another person?

I went to the art museum once and saw a painting of a woman crying and something about that resonated with me. I wish I had remembered who the artist was.

How have you progressed throughout your life as an artist? (e.g. mediums, style, inspiration)

As I’ve gotten older, I’ve tried using different materials more often such as clay, paint, markers, etc. I think I have expanded more in mediums and what I try to paint and the styles I do it in. I don’t stick to 1 theme like nature or people, I just try everything and see what I like and enjoy. I do art to have fun, so I don’t put too much pressure on myself and mainly focus on enjoying what I’m doing.
