Beta Club

All responses by Emily Scales, Beta Club Advisor

Q: How can students apply to be a part of the Beta Club?

A: Students must have a 3.5 GPA. Membership applications have closed for this year.

Q: What do students do within the club?

A: Each month we do lessons that revolve around a key factor we are trying to stress. For example, our first meeting is about getting started with leadership, taking initiative, getting involved and being independent. The officers create the lessons. Students must also complete 15 hours of community service hours each semester.

Q: What are some perks of being a part of Beta Club?

A: You get out in your community. You learn to serve others. You expose yourself to other opportunities. Seniors get a cord for graduation since it’s an honor society.

Q: What is Beta Club’s goal for students?

A: Our goal is to build up information on how to be good leaders, what service means, why we do service and what impact it has on our community. We want to create better leaders. You have no clue how to lead if you’re never taught about it. There are different types of leaders and it’s important to learn which kind you are.
