Dreamville

On Apr. 27, 2018 J. Cole announced that the  Dreamville festival would be coming to Raleigh, North Carolina which featured local music, art, food and culture. The festival was originally supposed to be a one-time thing. The festival took place on Apr. 6, 2019 and sold out as it had over 40,000 people. The festival featured the nominated Grammy artist, J. Cole, and also featured an amazing lineup, SZA, Big Sean, Nelly, 21 Savage and many more.

The festival was originally created because it offered an opportunity for J. Cole to give back to his home state that helped shape the amazing artist he is today. The festival takes place in one of Raleigh’s beautiful and historic locations, Dorothea Dix Park.

I attended the Dreamville Festival and it was an amazing experience. The lineup was amazing and featured so many versatile artists, so you got to hear all different genres of music. There were so many different food trucks that offered various foods from different cultures and beautiful murals of passed celebrities such Nipsey Hussle and Mac Miller. Dreamville festival was one of the best festivals to hit the Raleigh area and it’s looking like Dreamville festival 2020 is going to be a good one.
